type—steel or chrome—so be sure to consult
the owner's manual for the manufacturer's
recommendations. For both types, be sure to
always allow it to cool to 300° to 350°F before
using a scraper on the surface. Never use ice to
speed up the cooling process, as it may cause
thermal shock and damage the surface.
